Smart and Skilled, a NSW Vocational Education and Training (VET) initiative, provides support to help New South Wales residents gain skills for employment or career advancement.

Since 2016, Smart and Skilled funding eligibility is no longer limited by previous qualifications.

Criteria for NSW funding.

• 15 years or older
• No longer in school
• Living or working in NSW
• Australian citizen, permanent resident, humanitarian visa holder, or New Zealand citizen

Eligible students pay only a portion of the course cost, with the NSW Government covering the remainder.
