Marine Training Academy (MTA) delivers nationally recognised maritime training for people entering, working in and progressing through Australia's commercial maritime industry.
We combine flexible online learning, experienced trainer support and practical face-to-face training to help students develop the knowledge, confidence and hands-on capability required for real commercial maritime operations.

Training Locations
Marine Training Academy delivers scheduled face-to-face and practical maritime training from our Gold Coast (Ashmore) and Cairns training locations. Our flexible delivery model also allows students to complete applicable theory online before attending their scheduled practical training.
Scheduled face-to-face and practical maritime training for selected commercial maritime qualifications, skill sets and short courses.
Scheduled face-to-face and practical maritime training supporting students and commercial maritime operators throughout North Queensland.
MTA can also provide training for companies, vessel operators and industry groups at other locations by arrangement. Where suitable, training may be delivered at the client's workplace or operational site using appropriate facilities, vessels and equipment, subject to the requirements of the course and training environment.
