MAR10424 provides the nationally recognised qualification associated with the Coxswain Grade 2 Near Coastal certification pathway administered by AMSA.

AMSA Certification

Completing the qualification does not automatically issue the AMSA Certificate of Competency. Applicants must satisfy all current AMSA requirements.

Marine Order 505 establishes the certificate-of-competency framework for domestic commercial vessel operators.

Qualifying Sea Service

Applicants must provide evidence of qualifying sea service that meets the current AMSA requirements.
