Training Delivery & Assessment
Both HLTAID011 Provide First Aid and HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation combine flexible online learning with a required half-day face-to-face practical training and assessment session. This allows students to complete the knowledge component at their own pace before demonstrating the practical skills required for nationally recognised First Aid or CPR competency.
Complete the theory component online before attending your practical session. Online learning allows you to work through the required First Aid or CPR knowledge at your own pace.
A half-day practical session must be completed in person. During the session, students practise and demonstrate the physical First Aid and CPR skills required for their enrolled unit.
Practical training includes demonstrating cardiopulmonary resuscitation and the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) in realistic emergency response scenarios.
Students undertaking HLTAID011 demonstrate the practical First Aid skills required to recognise, assess and respond appropriately to a range of injuries, illnesses and emergency situations.
